Building demolition

The proposed project

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority – Planning and Development, are proposing to demolish a multi-structure facility located at 7028 York Road, Richmond, which was once a bio energy facility. The structures to be demolished and removed include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilities, including, gas, water, sanitary, communication and electrical services
  • Buildings and structures including, a two-level office, pre-treatment building, percolation building, mechanical and electrical buildings, digesters and concrete water storage reservoirs
  • Any other associated or miscellaneous structures and utilities

A new electrical service would be installed for the existing scale and office trailer remaining at the site entrance.

June 13, 2024– As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Building demolition, located at 7028 York Road, Richmond are likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by July 12, 2024.
