New Nuclear at Wesleyville Project
Short sighted

This project is too costly, too risky and too short sighted.
The world's largest nuclear plant does not need to be built. And certainly not in our community, where so many are concerned about the inevitable risks. There are environmentally better options - better for the land, for the water, for the wildlife and for the surrounding communities. By the time this plant is built, nuclear will be irrelevant. Why not think to the future? Why not look to other nations who are creating green energy and follow their lead?
I am disappointed and disheartened by the lack of foresight and planning.
The damage done will be irreversible. We need our land to remain fertile, our lakes clean and our communities safe.
As many have pointed out, young families will leave. Communities will be devastated.
We urge you to reconsider and think to a brighter, smarter, cleaner future.
