The Proposed Project

Matsqui First Nation is planning to build a multi-use pathway in the Matsqui 4 reserve (IR 4) residential area. The proposed gravel path will measure 225-metres long, 3-metres wide, with siting through a greenspace connecting the residential area to a local park. Two benches, pavement markings at cross walk locations, and pedestrian level bollard luminaire lights would also be installed as part of the project.

The project does not require works in water. It does require excavation, and vegetation clearing. While the project does not take place on a MBS, NWA or a MPA, it does take place within the boundaries of Matsqui No. 4 Indian Reserve lands.
