The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project that involves relocation of the three existing G Jetty Floats at the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt Colwood property, located on the west side of Esquimalt Harbour. The relocation of the floats is required while G Jetty undergoes structural repairs and electrical upgrades, meaning the floats could be in the temporary locations for up to two years.

The King's Harbour Master (KHM) has approved of the proposed temporary locations, and the relocation will be completed by the Port Operations and Emergency Services Branch (POESB) Auxiliary Fleet with support from the Fleet Diving Unit (Pacific) as required.
